PAL Express (2P, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) is to abandon its current domestic bases in Cebu, Davao, Zamboanga and Iloilo with effect from March 1, 2014. The PhilippineAirspace blog states that the airline will however continue to operate local flights out of its Manila Ninoy Aquino International main hub with new services to Davao and General Santos International to be added. In a statement, PAL Express said the move is part of an overall strategy to further improve fleet performance.
