Tigerair Philippines (Angeles City Clark International) is set to change its corporate name to Go Air, Inc. following an application to make the change to the Civil Aeronautics Board of the Philippines (CAB) by airline management. Its current corporate name is Southeast Asian Airlines, Inc.

The carrier operates under the Tiger Airways Philippines (Angeles City Clark International) brand even after Cebu Pacific Air (5J, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) completed a USD15million deal to buy the airline from parent Tigerair (Singapore Changi) in February.

Tigerair Philippines media liaison officer, Menchie Osial, told BusinessWorld newswire that so far, only the approval of the CAB had been secured while a SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) go-ahead would likely come next week.

Asked on the carrier's possible rebranding, Osial replied: “We’re not saying we’ll retain the Tigerair Philippines brand; it’s still under study and review,” adding that a decision could be reached in August.
