China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) launched its new Zhengzhou-based subsidiary, China Southern Airlines Henan Co., at a ceremony on Friday, September 19. A joint venture between the carrier (60%) and the Henan Civil Development and Investment Co. (40%), China Southern Airlines (Henan) is backed by CNY6billion (USD0.977billion) in start-up capital of which China Southern has contributed CNY3.6billion (USD0.586billion) with HCADI contributing the rest.

China Southern already serves Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Hong Kong International, Jeju, Kaohsiung, Phuket, Seoul Incheon and Taipei Taoyuan internationally as well as a wide range of domestic destinations from Zhengzhou.
