Alliance Air (India) (9I, Delhi International) took delivery of its maiden ATR72-600, VT-AII (cn 1197), on Tuesday, December 16. The turboprop, on lease from Singaporean lessor Avation, is the first of five the Air India subsidiary will receive from ATR - Avions de Transport Régional through July next year.

Alliance Air currently operates four ATR 42-320s and three CRJ700s on flights to India's second and third tier cities.
