Air Astana (KC, Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev) has signed lease agreements with the US-based Air Lease Corporation (ALC) for seven Airbus A320neo family aircraft, comprising two A320neo, one A321neo and four A321neo Long Range(LR). Of the order, one A320neo is scheduled for delivery in spring 2016, with the remaining six aircraft being delivered in 2018 and 2019.

The Kazakh carrier will deploy the aircraft on domestic flights as well as on international services to China, India, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Used as a replacement for the carrier's fleet of five B757-200s, the A321neo LR may also be deployed on longer-range routes including those from Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev to London Heathrow and from Almaty International to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hong Kong International.
