United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) has placed a moratorium on the outsourcing of baggage handling and customer service jobs until December 2016 at the least.
An airline memo seen by Reuters says the stay will reduce uncertainty for employees after former-CEO Oscar Munoz, in September, solicited feedback on how to improve the airline.
While United did announce in February that it would cut about 1,150 jobs from its overall workforce, it is uncertain how many baggage-handling and customer-service jobs would have been affected.
