Cimber Air (Sønderborg) has acquired some of the assets of bankrupt Sterling Airlines and is planning to resume limited operations with two B737s that will operate on behalf of Cimber Air on domestic services from Copenhagen to Aalborg and Karup on a wet-lease basis. It is planning to add additional B737s later for services to European destinations. Cimber has launched six times weekly CRJ-200 service from Billund to London Gatwick replacing Sterling on the route.
