Cargolux (CV, Luxembourg) has Luxair (LG, Luxembourg) as its majority shareholder now after the latter has acquired a 17.2% stake from bankrupt Swissair Group taking its stake in Cargolux to 52.1%. The government of Luxembourg has acquired 8% from Swissair and the remaining 8.5% of the stake previously held by Swissair (Zurich) have been acquired by several banks based in Luxembourg already holding minority stakes in Cargolux.
