Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) and Skyteam have agreed to suspend the airline's membership in the alliance due to the impact of sanctions on Russia.
"We are working to limit the impact for customers and will inform those affected by any changes to Skyteam benefits and services," the alliance said in a statement.
Aeroflot was the only Russian member of the alliance. Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson), one of the founders of Skyteam, suspended all cooperation with the majority state-owned Russian flag carrier in late February 2022, shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine.
Earlier, Oneworld and S7 Airlines (S7, Novosibirsk) agreed to suspend that carrier's membership in the alliance. Star Alliance does not have any Russian member airlines.
