Canada Jetlines (AU, Toronto Pearson) has announced that it will launch flight operations on August 15, 2022, initially with two domestic routes out of Toronto Pearson, subject to regulatory approval.

The start-up plans to operate 5x weekly each to Moncton and Winnipeg International.

"Canada Jetlines is fully staffed and ready to fly subject to final government approval, which is expected well before August 15. As a start-up during the pandemic, we emphasize preparation and collaboration and are currently staffed to welcome guests to travel with us," Chief Executive Eddy Doyle said.

The Canadian start-up currently operates a single A320-200 transferred from its former parent, GlobalX (G6, Miami International). GLOBALX's shareholders own a 25% stake in Jetlines.

Jetlines plans to grow its fleet to fifteen A320 Family aircraft by 2025 as it expands its leisure-focused network to other domestic destinations, as well as the US, Cuba, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Antigua, Bahamas, and other Caribbean nations.

The start-up has yet to complete its certification drive. Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows it operated proving flights between Moncton and Kitchener on July 5, 2022.
