Jetstar Airways (JQ, Melbourne Tullamarine) has taken delivery of its first A321-200neo with VH-OFE (msn 9540) having been ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder via Mumbai International to Perth International over the course of July 28-29, 2022. The A321-200NX is outfitted with 232 seats in a single-class configuration and is equipped with an additional fuel tank, allowing Jetstar to use it across Australia and on some routes to South-East Asia.

The Australian low-cost carrier plans to take at least thirty-eight A320neo Family aircraft, including eighteen A321-200Ns and twenty A321-200NY(XLR)s. All eighteen -200NX are due for delivery by mid-2024, while the -200NY(XLR)s are scheduled for induction between 2024 and 2029.

Jetstar's parent holding, Qantas Group, has firm orders for 149 Airbus single-aisle aircraft, comprising twenty A220-300s and 129 A320neo Family aircraft. The latter include A320-200N, A321-200N, A321-200NX(LR), and A321-200NY(XLR) variants. Except for the A220s and twenty A321-200NY(XLR)s destined for Qantas (QF, Sydney Kingsford Smith), the remainder of the aircraft will be operated by Jetstar Group carriers.
