Starlux Airlines (JX, Taipei Taoyuan) took delivery of the first of its eighteen ordered A350-900s and plans to deploy the aircraft into service in January 2023.

B-58501 (msn 480) was ferried directly from Toulouse Blagnac to Taipei Taoyuan on October 28-29, 2022, and was piloted personally by the airline's chairman, Chang Kuo-wei. Starlux Airlines expects to take another A350-900 in December 2022. The aircraft will initially operate regional routes starting in January 2023 before being deployed on long-haul services in April 2023. The first long-haul A350 route will be to Los Angeles International.

The aircraft are outfitted with four seats in first class (Starlux is the only Taiwanese carrier to feature such a product), 26 seats in business class, 36 in premium economy, and 240 in economy.

The ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Aircraft Data module shows that Starlux Airlines also operates ten A321-200NX and four A330-900s. While it has no other orders from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac), it intends to add more A321neo and A330neo from lessors. Despite its hitherto clear focus on new-generation Airbus aircraft, it recently said it would consider ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprops for domestic Taiwanese flights.
