French Blue (Paris Orly) has taken delivery of its maiden A350-900 following a handing over ceremony at Toulouse Blagnac on Tuesday, August 22.

F-HREU (msn 5) was immediately deployed into commercial service on the same day on the Groupe Dubreuil low-cost carrier's 4x weekly Paris Orly-St. Denis de la Réunion service. The aircraft was formerly the Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) testbed for the A350-900 certification programme before being adapted for commercial service.

French Blue is expected to add another A350-900 to its fleet in Spring 2018. The twinjet will add to a pair of A330-300s the carrier intends to operate of which it has already taken delivery of one.
