Jet Air (Poland) (Warsaw Chopin) and its Finnish partner Wingo (Tampere) have submitted a bid for the Tallinn-Kärdla public service obligation route. The two carriers have launched a joint three times weekly Helsinki-Lappeenranta service using Jet Air Jetstream 31s on January 11 taking over from virtual carrier Fly Lappeenranta (Lappeenranta) that had previously operated on the public service obligation route in cooperation with Highland Airways (8H/Inverness). Fly Lappeenranta will give up own scheduled operations as a result.
