Proflight Zambia (P0, Lusaka) has taken delivery of its first Dash 8-300 following the arrival of ZS-DHF (msn 405) in Lusaka on Tuesday, October 16.

The Bombardier Aerospace turboprop will shortly be added to the Zambian register and will then be deployed into service on flights from Lusaka to each of Livingstone (2x weekly), Mfuwe (3x weekly), and Ndola International (12x weekly).

The privately-owned Zambian carrier will use the turboprop to free up its CRJ100 thus allowing for the launch of more regional African routes. Aside from these two aircraft, it also operates three 29-seater Jetstream 41s and two Cessna (single turboprop) 208B Grand Caravans on flights covering eight Zambian cities, as well as Durban King Shaka, Harare International, and Lilongwe.
