Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras (AD, São Paulo Viracopos) took delivery of its first A321-200neo, PR-YJA (msn 9090), on November 11, 2019, ch-aviation analysis of Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows.

The Airbus narrowbody was ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder via Sal Amilcar Cabral International to Belo Horizonte Tancredo Neves and is currently still parked at the Brazilian airport. The carrier has yet to file schedules for the A321neo. In Azul's configuration, the type is equipped with 214 all-economy-class seats.

The aircraft is one of two Azul will dry-lease from CDB Aviation, the lessor said in a press release.

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, Azul also operates a single A320-200, thirty-five A320-200neo, eight A330-200s, two A330-900s, thirty-three ATR72-600s, six E190ARs, fifty-one E195ARs, and an E195-E2. Its cargo unit operates two B737-400(F)s.

The airline expects to take a total of ten A321neo from lessors.
