Thai AirAsia (FD, Bangkok Don Mueang) took delivery of its first two A321-200neo, becoming the second unit in the AirAsia Group to operate the type, Skyliner Aviation has reported.

HS-EAA (msn 9217) was delivered from Hamburg Finkenwerder via Ashgabat to Bangkok Don Mueang on January 2-3, 2020, followed by HS-EAB (msn 9284).

The two A321neo will complement Thai AirAsia's existing fleet of Airbus narrowbodies including fifty A320-200s and eleven A320-200neo. So far, the only airline in the group operating the A321neo was AirAsia (AK, Kuala Lumpur International), which took its first unit of the type in late November 2019 and currently has two A321neo, the ch-aviation fleets module shows.

Thai AirAsia has yet to schedule any A321neo flights.

The Asian LCC group has a further 349 A321neo on order. The aircraft will be distributed across various airlines of the group.
