Aery Aviation (FST, Newport News) has added a first Learjet 45 while retiring the sole Gulfstream Aerospace aircraft it introduced for charter earlier this year, a GV.

Aery Aviation said the Learjet "strengthens our ability to support organ transport, patient movement, and complex medical flight operations nationwide."

The 25.4-year-old Bombardier Business Aircraft, N443SL (msn 45-061), is configured for up to eight passengers. It was previously operated privately in the United States out of Jonesboro Municipal, from where it departed on January 9 to Springfield, OH. The jet remained parked until mid-April and has since completed six flights, the most recent on June 1 between Naples Municipal and Cleveland Burke Lakefront.

Meanwhile, GV N168CE (msn 568) is no longer listed under Aery Aviation's Part 135 certificate. The 25.7-year-old jet has been operating under the callsign 'C103' linked to the United States Coast Guard since late June out of Washington National, the base for the Coast Guard’s jets.

Earlier this year, the Coast Guard requested an additional USD50 million to replace the 24-year-old GV(C-37A) it operates alongside a 6.2-year-old G550(C-37B). While the C-37A remains active, it is currently unclear whether N168CE is serving as a temporary replacement for the C-37B, which has been parked at St. Louis Downtown since June 24. The Coast Guard uses the long-range command and control aircraft to transport the secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, and other senior leadership members.

Following these updates, Aery Aviation's Part 135-certified fleet now comprises the newly added Learjet 45, a Learjet 40(XR), a Vision Jet G2+, and a Premier I.

In addition to private jet charters and air ambulance operations, Aery Aviation provides aircraft modifications, operations, and training for the defense sector. In 2020, the company was awarded a USD146 million, five-year U.S. Navy High Endurance Electronic Warfare Jet (HEEWJ) contract by Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM), under which it acquired thirteen Learjet 35, Learjet 36, and GIV-SP aircraft for modification as Stand-Off Jamming, Electronic Attack, and Banner and Target Tow platforms. These jets are operated under Aery Aviation's 'FST' code.
