flyExclusive (JRE, Kinston) has taken delivery of a first Citation XLS Gen2.

"Our fleet refresh remains an important focus for us," said Jim Segrave, founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of flyExclusive.

N891JS (msn 560-6379) was ferried on August 30 between the production facilities of Textron Aviation at Wichita Eisenhower and Kinston. Configured for up to eight passengers, it has been added to flyExclusive's Part 135 certificate, although it has not yet entered service under the company's 'JRE' code. A second unit, N892JS (msn 560-6381), is due for delivery soon.

Since 2024, flyExclusive has been phasing out older types, including the Citation Encore, Citation Excel, Citation Sovereign, Citation X, and GIV-SP and replacing them with newer Citation Jet 3, Citation XLS, and Challenger 300 series jets, as Segrave revealed in an exclusive interview with ch-aviation last year.

As of July, flyExclusive's Part 135 certificate comprised two Challenger 300s, both added earlier this year, three Challenger 350s, two Citation Encore+ stored since 2023 at Kinston, fifteen Citation Jet 3s, thirty-four Citation Excels (two inactive since 2024), eight Citation XLS (one parked since February), nine Citation Jet 3+, five Citation Sovereigns (one parked since 2024), five Citation X, a GIV-SP inactive since February, two HondaJet Elites, a HondaJet Elite S, and three HondaJet Elite IIs.

The Honda Aircraft aircraft were inducted following flyExclusive's takeover of the operations of Volato (TMB, Houston Hobby). Earlier this year, flyExclusive acquired the aviation business of Jet.AI and launched operations with a Cessna (single turboprop) C208B Grand Caravan out of Miami Executive, serving destinations in South Florida, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean.
