Ortac (Jersey) (ORT, Jersey) has launched Learjet operations following the induction of a Learjet 75. General manager Christian Jones told ch-aviation the jet had been added to Ortac's Guernsey air operator's certificate (AOC), with further inductions planned.

The 8.9-year-old aircraft, 2-ONEL (msn 75-080), is configured for up to nine passengers and was first active under Ortac's 'ORT' code on August 27, completing a roundtrip between Farnborough and Amsterdam Schiphol. Based at Jersey, it frequently operates out of Farnborough.

"A cabin refurbishment was conducted as part of the new purchase," Jones said.

The jet was previously owned by non-certified operator Aperta Aviation and placed on the AOC of SaxonAir Charter (SXN, Norwich International). Jones confirmed that the aircraft is no longer associated with Aperta Aviation.

The Learjet 75, currently the only Learjet registered in Guernsey, joins Ortac's fleet comprising three Phenom 300Es and a Falcon 2000(LX), all configured for up to nine passengers. In late 2024, Ortac retired the Citation Jet 3+ type, followed by a fourth Phenom 300E earlier in 2025.

Looking ahead, Jones said further additions are expected, although he could not disclose details.
