Volare Aviation (Guernsey) (VLZ, Guernsey) is set to begin Citation Jet-series operations with the addition of a Citation Jet 2.

The 19.9-year-old aircraft, 2-MISO (msn 525A-0239), is configured for up to seven passengers and has not yet entered service since being registered in Guernsey in late August.

Volare Aviation's first Textron Aviation jet joins a fleet primarily comprised of Bombardier Business Aircraft, including a Challenger 601-3A, three Challenger 604s, one of which returned to service in July after 18 months of inactivity, a Challenger 650, a Challenger 850, and a Global 5000. The company also operates a Falcon 8X, parked at Oxford Kidlington since April and up for sale, and three AW109 helicopters.

A B737-700(BBJ) and a Hawker 800XP flying under Volare Aviation's 'VLZ' code have been parked at Oxford and Chester Hawarden since October and September 2024, respectively. In January, the carrier retired a Hawker 800XPi(2), alongside a Challenger 605

This newly added Citation Jet 2 was formerly operated by Air Charter Scotland (EDC, Perth Scone) as G-NOCM since 2021. Based at London Luton, it remained active until September 22, 2024, flying under the company's 'EDC' code between Nottingham East Midlands and Oxford. The aircraft remained parked until August 21, when it flew to Guernsey and returned to Oxford the following day, before being deregistered on August 29.

Air Charter Scotland's air operator's certificate (AOC) includes another Citation Jet 2, parked at Oxford since October 10, 2024, a Citation Latitude, a Legacy 500, a Praetor 600, and a Legacy 650. In October 2024, the company phased out the Citation Jet 1 type and exited Dassault Aviation operations in June with the retirement of a Falcon 7X. In Malta, Air Charter Scotland Europe manages a Citation Jet 2+, parked at Oxford since June, two Citation Excels, and two Challenger 350s.
