Air Peace (P4, Lagos) expects delivery soon of its first B737-700, EI-HRN (msn 32674), on lease from AerCap, as the Nigerian airline continues to boost its fleet capacity, ch-aviation research reveals.
The aircraft, already in Air Peace livery, was photographed while in maintenance at Belo Horizonte Tancredo Neves last month. ADS-B data shows it departed from there on October 10 for Sal Amilcar Cabral International, where it stopped overnight to arrive at Shannon on October 11 ahead of delivery to Air Peace in Lagos.
ch-aviation has reached out to Air Peace and AerCap for comment.
The 19.4-year-old EI-HRN is one of twenty B737-700s in AerCap's portfolio, according to ch-aviation data. With 128 seats, it has a two-cabin layout with eight seats in business class and 120 in economy. It was formerly operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas and first delivered SkyEurope Airlines in 2006.
As of October 2025, Air Peace's fleet numbers 34 aircraft, of which two-thirds (20) are currently inactive. To mitigate capacity issues, the airline has wet-leased in four A320-200s (two from SmartLynx Airlines, two from SmartLynx Airlines Malta).
The current fleet composition includes six B737-300s (two active); four B737-500s (two active); two B777-200ERs (one active); two B777-300s (both parked); one Do328-300 (inactive); eight E145s (half of which are AOG); one E190 and one E195 (both parked); and five E195-E2s, of which four are grounded due to Pratt & Whitney engine issues. Air Peace converted three of five E175s ordered in September 2023 to larger E195-E2s, taking the airline's total firm orders of the new-generation aircraft to 16, with five already delivered and 11 more on firm backlog.
Air Peace is also expanding its long-haul routes with Abuja to London Heathrow flights starting October 26, and plans for direct flights between Lagos and São Paulo Guarulhos in late November or early December.
