Porter Airlines (P3, Toronto Billy Bishop City Centre) will debut operations from Montréal MET on June 15, with 12 new domestic routes across Canada, as the revitalised airport becomes its main Montréal hub.
The company will launch flights to Québec (7x weekly), St. John's (7x weekly), Toronto Billy Bishop City Centre (27x weekly), Toronto Pearson (20x weekly), Vancouver International (14x weekly), Edmonton International (7x weekly), Calgary (7x weekly), Halifax (14x weekly), Charlottetown, PE (7x weekly), Winnipeg International (7x weekly), Moncton (7x weekly), and Hamilton, ON (14x weekly).
The routes will be operated with Porter’s fleet comprising DHC-8-Q400s (it has twenty-nine in total) and E195-E2s (fifty-two in total).
With the opening of the revamped Montréal Metropolitan Airport, Porter Airlines will be able to expand by 91% its peak summer capacity in the region compared to last year, including launching six new non-stop destinations.
Porter expects to have as many as 244 weekly departures from the city, including 138 from Montréal Metropolitan and 106 from Montréal Trudeau.
Pascan Aviation (P6, Montréal MET), a partner of Porter Airlines, is also based at Metropolitan. This “provides improved connectivity throughout Québec’s regions and the Maritimes.”
