Air Tanzania (TC, Dar es Salaam) plans to expand its network to destinations in Europe and the United States once it increases the size of its fleet. Tanzanian transport minister Makame Mbarawa stated that "we expect to receive more aircraft, and once they arrive we will expand our services to more destinations around the world. Then we are going to fly everywhere, including London and the US, depending on the number of aircraft available." Air Tanzania has been banned from operating in the European Union since December 2024, although it maintains that its safety standards have since improved. The flag carrier launched a 3x weekly Dar es Salaam-Moscow Vnukovo route on July 1, 2026.
