Ryanair (FR, Dublin International) will cut five aircraft from its Brussels Charleroi base in response to the Belgian government’s decision to increase aviation taxes as of 2027. The LCC said it will also remove two million seats from its schedule out of both Charleroi and Brussels National for the 2026/2027 winter and 2027 summer seasons.

The airline currently has nine B737-800s based at Charleroi, according to ch-aviation data. It serves Brussels mainly through this airport, but also flies to Brussels National, without having a base there.
