Rutaca Airlines (5R, Ciudad Bolívar) is reportedly going to be the recipient of the two remaining B737-200s and three B737-300s of Venezuelan national carrier Conviasa (V0, Caracas Simón Bolivar) as the latter takes delivery of additional new E190s. Conviasa currently already operates six of the Embraer regional jets alongside its fleet of B737s, two ATR72-200s and three CRJ700s. It plans to retire its B737 fleet allowing Rutaca to renew its fleet of nine B737-200Adv. aircraft, the vast majority of which are currently grounded for maintenance.
