Pacific Sun (Nadi) is to be rebranded in line with its parent, Fiji Airways (FJ, Nadi). Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO Stefan Pichler says: “Pacific Sun provides an invaluable link for Fiji’s major domestic ports to Nadi and Suva, it also maintains an important Pacific link in the Fiji Airways network. Since Fiji Airways (then Air Pacific) started up the domestic and regional subsidiary, Pacific Sun hasn’t had a brand alignment with its commercial position. Now with an investment in brand new aircraft for the airline to complement the operational restructure it has been going through, the time is right for us to create an identity for Pacific Sun – an identity that Fiji can be proud of, and one which will resonate with our customers.” In addition to the new branding, Fiji Airways says it will solicit suggestions from the Fijian public for a new name for Pacific Sun. One of the conditions for the new identity is that it must include the name “Fiji” in it.
