Komiaviatrans (KMA, Syktyvkar) is to become Russia's maiden operator of the E145 passenger jet when it takes delivery of its first of six formerly with China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou). The aircraft will be deployed on the carrier's Simferopol to Syktyvkar route beginning in July.

Established in 1967 as a subsidiary of Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo), Komiaviatrans is now owned by the government of the Komi Republic operating passenger and cargo charter services within Russia. With a fleet of three Let 410s and various Russian helicopters, it also offers ACMI services to clients in Asia, Africa and Europe.
