SalamAir (OV, Muscat) has taken delivery of its first aircraft following the arrival of A320-200 A4O-OVA (cn 3035) at Muscat from Abu Dhabi International on Friday, November 18.
The aircraft is one of three the Omani LCC is leasing from LATAM Airlines Group with the other two airframes, cn 3047 and 5240, still in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) undergoing predelivery maintenance.
SalamAir is expected to complete its AOC certification in time for a mid-December launch. Initial destinations are expected to include Salalah domestically as well as Dubai International, Jeddah International, and Khartoum internationally.
