Angara Airlines (Irkutsk International) has agreed with VASO to lease three An-148-100s that are all scheduled to be delivered before the end of the year. It currently operate several An-24s on regional services and An-26s on cargo flights. It plans to use the new aircraft to launch new routes from its Irkutsk International base to Blagoveshchensk, Khabarovsk Novy, Novosibirsk and Yakutsk and is also considering international services to Asian destinations. Angara also plans to add seven more An-148 until 2014.
