Porter Airlines (P3, Toronto Billy Bishop City Centre) has signed a sale/lease-back contract with Avolon covering ten undelivered E195-E2s.
The Canadian airline said the regional jets would start delivering later in 2023 as a part of its recently announced order with Embraer (EMB, São José dos Campos Professor Urbano Ernesto Stumpf) for fifty E195-E2s. The aircraft sold to Avolon will become the first E195-E2s in the lessor's portfolio, according to the ch-aviation fleets ownership module.
Porter Airlines has thus far taken ten E195-E2s, the ch-aviation fleets module shows, all of them placed with Porter Airlines Canada (PD, Toronto Billy Bishop City Centre). It is the world's second-largest E195-E2 customer, trailing only Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras (AD, São Paulo Viracopos).
