NetJets Aviation (EJA, Columbus John Glenn, OH) has taken delivery of the first pair of Praetor 500s from an order of up to 250 units placed with Embraer Executive Jets.
The aircraft, N270QS (msn 55010152) and N271QS (msn 55010160), were delivered to NetJets' headquarters at Columbus John Glenn, OH from Embraer's production facilities at Melbourne, FL, with a stop at Greenville/Spartanburg Donaldson.
These are the first two units of a 2023 order for up to 250 Praetor 500s, which NetJets began converting into firm orders in mid-2024. The jets are configured for up to eight passengers and available under the company’s fractional ownership programmes.
At present, NetJets' Part 135 certificate includes 120 Embraer aircraft, all from the Phenom 300 series, comprising seventy-three Phenom 300s and fourty-seven Phenom 300Es. The Phenom 300Es form part of a 100-unit order signed in 2021. In Portugal, NetJets Transportes Aéreos operates thirteen Phenom 300s and sixteen Phenom 300Es, while NetJets (United Kingdom) does not operate any Embraer jets.
NetJets operates a further 552 aircraft in the United States, 91 in Portugal, and seven in the United Kingdom, manufactured by Bombardier Business Aircraft, Dassault Aviation, and Textron Aviation. The group, which expects to take delivery of 100 new jets in 2025, has additional aircraft on order from Bombardier and Textron, including two new types yet to enter service, the Global 8000, for which NetJets will be the fleet launch customer, and the Citation Ascend, with NetJets serving as the launch customer.
