Loganair (LM, Glasgow International) and Aurigny Air Services (GR, Guernsey) have submitted bids for route licences out of Guernsey. The former wants to connect the Channel island with Southampton and Jersey, while the latter aims to only serve the Jersey route. The Southampton route is already designated as an essential air service due to its importance for medical travel out of Guernsey, and thus can only be served by a single carrier. The Jersey route is currently available to all airlines, but will become "essential" on January 15, 2026. Both routes were left unserved by the collapse of Blue Islands.
