Ryanair (FR, Dublin International) has welcomed a European Commission decision against night-time flight restrictions at Dublin International. Such restrictions, which have been subject to heated debate for several years, were most recently reproposed by planning appeals board An Coimisiúin Pleanála in July 2025. The proposal sought to cap aircraft movements between 2300L (2200Z) and 0700L (0600Z) at 35,672 per year (98 per night), and ban use of the north runway between 0000L (2300Z) and 0600L (0500Z). On February 10, 2026, the commission ruled that the proposed restrictions breach Regulation (EU) 598/2014, and should be re-examined by Irish authorities. Ryanair similarly welcomed the draft Dublin Airport (Passenger Capacity) Bill 2026, which aims to increase the airport's 32 million annual passenger cap.
