Air Peace (P4, Lagos) is preparing to take delivery of its first factory-new E175, which it will use to boost frequencies on key domestic Nigerian routes and launch services to four additional African destinations.

The new 88-seater aircraft, currently still under test registration PR-ETD, will receive the Nigerian registration of 5N-CGH, according to photographs shared by the OEM, showing the aircraft being prepared for the flight to Nigeria at Embraer's factory at São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International.

Air Peace ordered five E175s in September 2023, with options for five more. However, in 2025, it converted three to larger E195-E2s. Following the conversion, Air Peace retained two E175 on backlog. Deliveries were initially scheduled to start in 2024.

The E175 will bridge the gap between the airline's smaller seven E145s and its larger two E190s, one E195, and five E195-E2, with eleven of the latter still to be delivered.

According to the statement, the E175 will be deployed on regional routes, both within Nigeria and to destinations in the surrounding region.

Air Peace chairman and CEO Allen Onyema labelled the delivery of its first E175 as a "major milestone" in the airline's growth. "As we strengthen our leadership in West and Central Africa, this aircraft will increase our operational flexibility and market reach, all while maintaining the safety, reliability, and excellent service our passengers expect."

According to ch-aviation data, apart from the Embraer fleet, Air Peace operates four B737-300s, two B737-500s, one B737-700, one B737-800, two B777-200ERs, two B777-300s, and one Do328-300.
