Air Tanzania (TC, Dar-es-Salaam) will take delivery of a leased CRJ-200 (some reports state a CRJ-100) to help stem rising demand for flights. The state-backed carrier plans to introduce the aircraft next month on new flights to Bujumbura, Mwanza and Mbeya. At present, the airline's fleet consists of a single Dash 8-300 and a B737-200 on lease from South Africa's Star Air (South Africa) (BRH, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) used on a predominantly domestic network with Moroni Int'l its sole international route.
