Virgin America (San Francisco) has signed a lease agreement with GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) involving ten A321neo jets. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery during the first quarter of 2017 with the remainder due from then onwards through 2018. All ten aircraft are part of GECAS’ existing orderbook with Airbus.

Powered by CFM International LEAP-1A motors, the aircraft will be configured with a total of 185 seats.

Virgin America operates an all-Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) fleet of ten A319-100s and fifty-two A320-200s on flights to twenty-four destinations across the United States and Mexico.
