Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin International) has announced it would launch a new Dublin International-Montréal Trudeau route on August 8, 2019. The daily service is set to be the Irish carrier's maiden route operated with the new A321neo(LR) aircraft leased from Air Lease Corporation.

Starting July 8, 2019, and using one of the four B757-200s wet-leased from ASL Airlines Ireland (ABR, Dublin International), Aer Lingus will also link its Dublin hub with Minneapolis/St. Paul on a daily basis.

Using the geographically advantageous location of its Dublin base, Aer Lingus is planning to significantly expand its North American network with the incoming new narrowbody long-haul aircraft. The IAG International Airlines Group unit plans to add a total of eight A321neo(LR)s. Aer Lingus presently already serves Boston, Chicago O'Hare, Hartford Bradley, Los Angeles International, Miami International, New York JFK, New York Newark, Orlando International, Philadelphia International, San Francisco, Seattle Tacoma International, Toronto Pearson, and Washington Dulles from Dublin, as well as Boston and New York JFK from Shannon.

The routes from Dublin to Hartford and Philadelphia and both routes from Shannon are currently operated by ASL on Aer Lingus' behalf.
