A board dispute at Thai Airways International (TG, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) has delayed the finalisation of leases of ten incremental B787 widebodies. A December 23 court order suspending the new board's authority has left the carrier without authorised signatories for the contracts. CEO Chai Eamsiri confirmed the deadlock also stalls a THB10 billion Thai baht (USD317.3 million) maintenance project at Utapao and a THB1 billion Thai baht (USD 31.7 million) ERP system procurement. The airline has filed an objection, with a court hearing scheduled for January 6, 2026.
