Loganair (LM, Glasgow International) inaugurated its new base at Southampton on January 5, 2026. The regional carrier currently stations a single E145 out of the southern English airport, but plans to gradually ramp up capacity there to two aircraft by March 2026. The airline already served the airport, but with aircraft based elsewhere. "As we scale up operations through to March, Southampton will play an increasingly important role in our UK network, supporting both regional travel and vital onward connections," chief commercial officer Ronnie Matheson said. Loganair initially aimed to launch the base in October 2025, but its plans were adjusted following the bankruptcy of Blue Islands and the expedited entry into the Jersey market.
