Airlines operating international scheduled passenger flights to/from Navi Mumbai International will not be subject to landing charges for one year, after India’s Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) waived the fees to entice traffic growth. In the second year of operations, airlines will only pay 50% of the fees, and 75% of the fees in the third year. Airlines may be eligible for additional discounts based on frequencies. Freighter operators will receive a waiver of 90% of the fees in year one and 50% in the second year.

Navi Mumbai opened to scheduled traffic in late 2025, and dedicated freighter operations at the airport started in August this year. Earlier, Air India Group criticised the high costs at the airport.
