Webjet (Rio de Janeiro International) has ceased domestic operations in Brazil with its fleet of fifteen B737-300s and five B737-800s with all passengers being transferred to flights of parent GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (G3, São Paulo Congonhas) as of November 23. The plan has only been officially announced by Gol on the same day as part of an announcement to cut 850 jobs at its recently acquired Webjet subsidiary. Gol is expected to transfer back the five B737-800s still with Webjet back to its mainline operations but will return all of the B737-300s to the lessors by early 2013.
